Our second MicroNet event, entitled Building the blocks for a European Micro-Credential infrastructure: the next steps for ECIU & Europass, was organised by ECIU and Dublin City University.
The webinar was held on Wednesday, the 8th of March 2023. The MicroNet network is a peer network consisting of the IUA, EUA, QQI, ECIU and UNIC Europeanuniversity alliances.
The event, hosted by Dublin City University in collaboration with the MicroNet peer learning network and European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU), was designed to inform participants regarding the current state of the rapidly-changing micro-credential landscape in Europe.
Our first presenter, Padmasheela Kiiskilä, of Tampere University and the ECIU, showcased the perspectives of the ECIU, as a leading consortium of European universities within this domain. Our second presenter, Anthony Camilleri, an Expert in Digitally Signed Credentials at NTT Data Europe, discussed the broader landscape across Europe concerning micro-credential adoption.
This event was an opportunity to build upon momentum and discuss the key challenges facing institutions across the continent as they seek to engage in new forms of flexible learning.
